
Dimitrije Medenica is a
Swiss-born architect by training and the debut author of The Good Healer, a
work of medieval historical fiction, which employs his extensive knowledge of
architectural history, mercantilism, and natural medicine facts. With 11 years of architecture and real estate
development experience, a large part of which was devoted to the relationship
between healthcare architecture and its effects on patients, he continues to
work as a developer, freelance architectural illustrator, and French Professor.
Mr. Medenica concentrated on a large number of clinics,
hospitals, retirement communities, and nursing homes in the Tri-State area and
the world, including the
Living with a popular but misunderstood physician for
most of his youth, Mr. Medenica has been able to bring urgent realism to the
medical profession in his historical novel.
The Good Healer is the first in a series of novels that employs medieval
superstition and religious persecution as the backdrop for tales of innovation
in healthcare architecture and healing methods.
In addition to his love for history and medicine, he has a passion for
Argentine Tango.
